This in-studio small group experience is for those who want to have a free-ranging indigo dyeing session that includes everything you need to dye in addition to having the freedom to bring your own work to indigo dye.

Think about winter gift- giving, enhancing your own wardrobe, and having some fun dyeing in a social setting. I will have an array of materials available for purchase so you can choose your own projects or you can bring your own.

You can practice arashi shibori (pole wrapped), tekumo (bound), itajime (clamped), & nui (stitched) shibori using my devices and supplies on hand. Several vats will be available.

You have about a month to prepare your own projects for dyeing or feel free to create on the fly here, with me.

Limited to 6 people for an intimate experience where everyone has the time and space to freely create.

This one day experience will be held twice:

Saturday November 11 starting at 10:00AM until 5 PM
AND:
Saturday December 2nd starting at 10:00AM until 5 PM

-in Long Beach California.
Wear close-toed shoes and comfortable studio clothes.

Further thoughts-

I will have scarf blanks, fabrics (silk and cotton), bamboo socks, and other miscellaneous items (such as threads) for purchase if you choose.
Peruse the second hand shops, markdown shops, flea markets and your own closet for 100% cotton, linen and hemp items you would like to transform into your wardrobe or personal use. Also, you can simply enjoy making and dyeing fabrics for future projects such as quilts, wall pieces, home decor, & other creative uses.

Moons will be made!

Brown bag your lunch, bring a bento, and a water bottle to stay hydrated. Other snacks and drinks will be available. The Library will be open!
