Collected on my recent trip to Japan and hand dyed with indigo in my California studio, these diaphanous scarves are mostly silk. I love the textural and transparent nature of them. Where materials are mixed (usually cotton or rayon) it allows a variance of indigo shades.
Fun to wear with a simple shirt and jeans- lightweight and summery!
This style is indigo dyed edge to edge-from with to dark. No white is retained in this style. This piece is 100% cotton with varying lightweight threads used in the warp and weft to give it its striped patterning.
